SFF WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Who we are
We are the Sydney Film Festival. Our office is at 10 Hickson Road, The Rocks, NSW, 2000. Please note that throughout these terms when we mention “we”, “us”, “our” etc., we mean www.sff.org.au. When we refer to “you” we mean the user and/or browser of our website.
About these terms and conditions
You are reading the terms and conditions for use of the www.sff.org.au website. They make a legally binding contract between you and us. Your acceptance of the terms and conditions is made by you browsing our website and is dated to your first use of the website. If you do not accept the terms and conditions or any part of them you should stop using our website immediately.
We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions from time to time which will take effect from the date of posting on the website. Your continued use of the site will mark your acceptance of any changes to the terms and conditions.
Our guiding principle is that your ‘personal data’ is only held to allow us to support and improve your customer relationship with www.sff.org.au. If you have any concerns about our use of your personal data please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will investigate complaints, act on emails claiming unjustified exploitation of data and take such further action, as we, in our sole discretion, find appropriate.

The images, graphics, text, applets and scripts operating our website (which, collectively, we call “Website Information”) are © Sydney Film Festival 2018 unless otherwise stated. You may view Website Information in a web browser for private browsing purposes only. Copying Website Information into a computer cache or storage device for private on or off-line browsing purposes is also permitted. You may not make a copy of the Website Information or any part of it for any other purpose without our prior written consent, which may be granted at our discretion (or where we do not own the copyright, we will direct you to the owner themselves for such consent). Nothing in these terms and conditions or on our website constitutes a license to use or copy the Website Information.
Occasionally we may publish images or text in which the copyright is not owned by us. Where this is done, and where practicable, we acknowledge the copyright owner. Stills from films are used to promote festival screenings of those films, and their inclusion in the Sydney Film Festival program.

Where practicable, we acknowledge the owners of all trademarks which are referred to in our website.
Accuracy of the Website Information
The Website Information is provided “as is” and we make no representation, endorsement or warranty as to its accuracy. We will not be liable for any action taken (or not taken) in reliance upon the Website Information and such action is taken entirely at your own risk. We reserve the right to make changes to the Website Information to correct any errors or omissions (or at our discretion) without notice and without liability to you.
External websites to which we provide hypertext links are not under our control and we take no responsibility and shall not be liable in any way for their content.
Some of the Website Information may be contributed to us by third parties and we do not control those parties or their information.

TICKETING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Sydney Film Festival 2018 ticketing terms and conditions are listed below. For Travelling Film Festival terms and conditions please click here.
Cards – We accept Visa and Mastercard payments. We do not accept American Express.
Fees – All transactions incur a $2.75 – $7.75 transaction fee.
Refunds – Please check your sessions, times, Subscriptions and Flexipasses are correct prior to payment as there are no refunds on any item sold.
Replacement Tickets – Tickets are only replaced if lost or stolen.
Exchanges – No exchanges of Subscriptions, Flexipasses, complimentary tickets, or Opening & Closing Night Galas. You cannot exchange a session that has already passed. Exchanges of single session tickets or Flexipass redeems incur a $2 fee per ticket. Exchanges on a Flexipass can be made online from the program launch on Wednesday 9 May.
Concessions – Available to full-time students, pensioners, healthcare card holders, unemployed and seniors. Concession cards must be shown at the box office, cinema doors and on request.
Industry Concessions – We offer concessions to the following industry groups: Media Entertainment & Arts Alliance (MEAA), Australian Film Institute (AFI), Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA), Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS), Australian Directors’ Guild (ADG), Australian Writer’s Guild (AWG), Australian Screen Editors (ASE), Australian Production Design Guild (APDG). Guild membership card must be shown at the box office, cinema doors and on request.
Program Times – SFF program times and details are subject to change without notice.
Latecomers – Your ticket guarantees admission if you are seated five minutes before the session begins. Latecomers enter at staff discretion.
For sessions that have a short film screening before a feature-length film, latecomers will not be permitted entry to the cinema after the short film commences. Entry may be granted after the short film concludes at staff discretion.
Cancellations – In the event of a cancelled screening, Flexipass holders will receive a replacement voucher – no refunds are made on Flexipasses. Single tickets will be replaced by tickets of equal value. Subscribers will not be refunded.
Classification – No one under 18 is admitted to 18+ films. Children under 15 will only be admitted to 15+ films with a parent or guardian. Most films in the Family section are classified for All Ages, but please note age recommendations for each film.
Entry to Sessions – All persons seeking admittance to attend an event or session must have a valid ticket, irrespective of their age.
Behavioural Standards – SFF will not tolerate inappropriate behaviour of a theatening, aggressive, or abusive nature towards our audience members, guests, volunteers, staff or partner venue staff. Our Front of House team reserves the right to deny admission to our venues.
Companion Cards – Are accepted for all sessions – please visit a box office or call 1300 733 733 during opening hours. Companion Card tickets can be booked online by adding them to your cart and then entering your Companion Card number on checkout
Access – All SFF venues have wheelchair access. If you require assistance with seating or have other needs, call the box office and information line on 1300 733 733 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Copyright – The use of cameras and other recording devices during SFF sessions constitutes a breach of copyright and is strictly prohibited. Any person caught in the act of filming a festival session will be immediately expelled, and the pirated material will be seized. Such persons may be subject to legal action.
Tickets are subject to availability.
A maximum of 4 tickets per session can be redeemed on a Flexipass.
Flexipasses cannot be used for Opening Night, Closing Night or Special Events. Special Events include Gourmet Cinema, Back by Popular Demand Sessions and film packages.
Flexipass redemptions can be exchanged online, at a box office, or by calling 1300 733 733 for a $2 fee per ticket.
Flexipasses for the 2018 Sydney Film Festival are valid until the end of the Festival, Sunday 17 June 2018.
They are not valid for the Back By Popular Demand sessions from Monday 18 – Wednesday 20 June, 2018.
They cannot be used against any of the Travelling Film Festival programs throughout the year.
