SFFTV

SFFTV at Martin Place (between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets) is taking cinema to the streets! Swing by SFF’s giant outdoor screen between 7-18 June to see curated animations from the festival circuit, trailers of SFF 2023 films, and historical footage from the SFF archive. And make sure to drop by Tue-Fri from 12pm during the Festival for free tech workshops, local bites and beverage sampling, and free lunchtime screenings of curated shorts or a special throwback screening of The Back of Beyond.

Screening as a tribute to the film’s premiere at the very first Sydney Film Festival in 1954, this documentary traverses the outback, following the steps of mailman Tom Kruse on his journey from Marree to Birdsville, charting the characters and obstacles he meets along the way.
