Synopsis

Direct from its hit SXSW premiere comes this mind-bending sci-fi horror about a mother who travels across the multiverse to repeatedly take revenge on her daughter’s killer.

Though Irene has killed her daughter’s murderer countless times in countless parallel universes, her grief and despair will not go away. Drowning in an addictive, soul-destroying cycle of violent retribution, Irene finds her perspective shifts when she accidentally rescues at-risk teen runaway Mia. The duo’s portal-hopping, time-travelling road trip is brilliantly conceptualised and ferociously executed by filmmaking twins Kevin and Matthew McManus (The Block Island Sound). Opening with a bang and never letting up, this dazzling multidimensional thriller has a powerful emotional core and features dynamite performances by Michaela McManus and amazing newcomer Stella Marcus. It’s a ride to remember remember.

Limited seats are available for patrons requiring access for wheelchairs, low vision and hearing loop. Please contact our ticketing team directly on 1300 733 733 or tickets@sff.org.au to complete your booking.

It’s smart, terrifying, and the best indie genre film I saw at SXSW this year.
