Everytime
Everytime is the kind of film that stuns you with the ingenuity of its craft – and resonates with pure emotion. Jessie, her mum Ella (Birgit Minichmayr, The Blood Countess, SFF 2026) and young sister Melli are about to leave Berlin and head on holiday to Tenerife when tragedy strikes. A year on, the pain remains acute as Ella, Melli and Jessie's boyfriend Lux try to go about their lives. On an impulse, Ella decides to rebook their ill-fated trip, and the trio head to Tenerife. Once there, past and present begin to overlap in mysterious, powerful ways under the shimmering sun and sea. Writer-director Wollner crafts a phenomenal psychological drama, both dreamlike and viscerally real.
