André Is an Idiot
Synopsis
André Ricciardi is a truly madcap and original character. He talks a mile-a-minute and collects odd things, including trousers once worn by Kim Kardashian (he had hoped to one day to clone her). After a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, he makes the unexpected decision to film his final days, while ensuring that they’re fun and ridiculous. We meet his wife – his opposite in every way – along with his family and best friend, who are all grappling with what lies ahead. With a whimsical and retro style, director Tony Benna has crafted a film that is deeply moving and surprisingly funny. With the brilliant André at its heart, this is an ode to one man’s life and loves, and showcases the courage it takes to exit laughing.
