Synopsis

An enigmatic Cambodian-Australian puppeteer’s life begins to unravel during a TV performance. Can he be vulnerable to his young daughter about the genocide he fled?

Andy ‘Celeste’ Diep (she/they) is a Sydney-based director whose work centres on Asian and Trans/LGBTQ+ communities. Her film Happy New Year, Ms. Luna received the Queer Screen Pitch-Off grant, Audience Award at Mardi Gras Film Festival, and a special mention at Flickerfest. In 2023, Diep attended the Apichatpong Weerasethakul “Playlabs” Creators Lab and developed a film under his mentorship.
