COVID-19 Safety

Sydney Film Festival is a registered COVID Safe business. We are working together to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The safety of our audiences, guests, volunteers and staff is Sydney Film Festival’s priority.

Please read the important information below regarding our current COVID-19 safety measures, noting that we regularly update our processes based on the latest government advice and NSW Health Public Health Orders and guidance.

Check this page for the latest safety measures prior to your visit. This page was last updated 22 March 2022.

We highly recommend that all visitors are vaccinated against COVID-19. Find out more on the NSW Health website.

Social distancing

Social distancing is encouraged and all patrons should maintain adequate distance from other people outside their group.

It is highly recommended that audience members older than 12 wear masks in our venues, unless eating or drinking.

Screenings will proceed at 100% capacity in line with NSW Government guidelines. Please note you will be seated alongside other ticket holders.

If you feel unwell

If you or anyone in your group isn’t feeling well, or you have been instructed to isolate, please stay home.

Increased hygiene

We’ve increased our hygiene facilities. There will be hand sanitising stations throughout our venues and enhanced cleaning measures of high-frequency touch points.

Online bookings

We encourage online bookings.

Bins available

Bins are readily available across our venues. Please dispose of your own rubbish.

Contactless payment

Sydney Film Festival box office accepts contactless payments only (no cash). Contactless payments are strongly recommended for food and beverage purchases at venues. Please refer to venue websites for more information.
