Sydney Film Festival 68th Edition Moves to August for 2021 Only
After a successful Summer Season at the State Theatre and a sold-out Wong Kar Wai retrospective, Sydney Film Festival today announced that its 68th edition will take place 18-29 August 2021.
The shift will allow the Festival to continue to include films from major international festivals (in addition to Australia’s best new feature films and documentaries) in a year of date fluctuations around the world due to COVID-19.
SFF believes the date change will also enhance audience confidence alongside evolving health and safety guidelines.
In August, Sydney Film Festival will return to familiar cinemas across Sydney so audiences can once more explore our times through the medium of film.
