Talk: The Dark Emu Story

Following the State Theatre screening of The Dark Emu Story join us in conversation with the author Bruce Pascoe.
No other Australian book has sparked such passion in both praise and debate over its narrative shaking claims about Aboriginal farming practices.

Bruce Pascoe
Author
Bruce Pascoe is a Yuin, Bunurong and Tasmanian man. He is an award-winning writer and editor who has worked as a teacher, farmer, fisherman, barman, fencing contractor, lecturer, Aboriginal language researcher and archaeological site worker. In 2016, he won the New South Wales Premier’s Book of the Year Award for Dark Emu, and in 2018 he was awarded the Australia Council Award for Lifetime Achievement in Literature by the Australian Council of the Arts.
