Recently out of prison, Travis slowly finds his place amongst family and friends. His partner Candice is set to audition for a career-changing part as Tina Turner in a stage musical, and he buys her a stunning red dress to embody the role. But the thoughtful gift threatens to thrust his family into uncharted territory when Travis finds himself compelled to try it on. Tensions escalate as their daughter is caught in the crossfire, and all three fumble their way through their own buried secrets. Travis must confront his innermost fears to reconcile his family. Warm and deeply human, Pretty Red Dress questions notions of masculinity, the uncovering of identity and gender expression with honesty and insight, portrayed beautifully by the cast.
