In this electrifying Aubrey Plaza-led heist thriller, an art-school dropout and credit card scammer is entangled in the criminal underworld of Los Angeles. Sundance 2022.
Saddled with insurmountable student debt and unable to find stable employment due to a handful of past legal infractions, Emily, played by SFF fave Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West, SFF 2017) drifts between futile job interviews and short-term gig work. A hot tip from a co-worker at her catering job leads her into a credit fraud scheme. Quickly impressing her mentor Youcef (Theo Rossi) and seduced by the seemingly endless rewards, Emily quickly becomes entangled in a risky criminal enterprise. Punctuated with a cameo from Gina Gershon (Showgirls), John Patton Ford's feature debut is a tense and thrilling white-knuckle journey into the desperate world of white-collar crime.
