1. This competition (2024 Tickets Giveaway) is conducted by GIO, (ABN 48 005 297 807, registered office Level 23, 80 Ann Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000) in partnership with The Sydney Film Festival (“Promoter”).
2. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.

• Are Australian residents aged 18 years or older at time of entry;
• Are not directors, management or employees, or their immediate family members, of the Promoter or its related companies or agencies associated with the Competition (“Eligible Entrant“)

3. Competition entry commences at

• Post 1: 10:00AM on 11/05/2024 and closes at 10:00AM on 16/05/2024; and
• Post 2: 10:00AM on 16/05/2024 and closes at 10:00AM on 22/05/2024; and
• Post 3: 10:00AM on 22/05/2024 and closes at 10:00AM on 29/05/2024; and
• Post 4: 10:00AM on 29/05/2024 and closes at 10:00AM on 02/06/2024; and
• Post 5: 10:00AM on 02/06/2024 and closes at 10:00AM on 07/06/2024.

(“Entry Period“). Except as otherwise stated, all times are Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)..

5. To enter the Competition, an Eligible Entrant must during the Entry Period:
   1. visit the Sydney Film Festival Facebook page at facebook.com/sydneyfilmfestival, then correctly identify the film and ‘precious’ object from the illustration posted by Sydney Film Festival, by commenting on the Facebook post.
6. Entrants may only enter the Competition in their own name. Limit of one entry per person. Any subsequent entry from the same person after the first valid entry is received will be deemed invalid.
7. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. Entries will be deemed received at the time that the Promoter is satisfied that all necessary requirements under condition 5 have been met and not at the time of submission by the Eligible Entrant.  The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or delays or failures in any equipment or telecommunications service used to administer this Competition.
8. Cost of entry via the internet is free, but internet connection and usage rates may apply. Eligible Entrants should obtain details of such costs from their service providers.
9. The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device, desktop computer or similar electronic device is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting an entry.
10. Eligible Entrants must submit their internet entry manually. The Promoter may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
11. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, declare an entry invalid or disqualify any entrant that tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering, submits an entry that is incomplete or not in accordance with these conditions, or otherwise acts in a manner that is disruptive, dishonest or calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this Competition.
12. The Promoter reserves the right to require an entrant to verify the validity of their entry within the requested time, including but not limited to an entrant’s identity, eligibility, age and address and to disqualify any entrant who does not satisfy any entry criteria in these conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the Promoter’s discretion.
13. GIO may, in its absolute discretion, declare your entry invalid or disqualify you if you tamper with the entry process or otherwise act in a way that jeopardises the fairness of the competition.
14. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, except at our discretion.

15. All valid entries received during the Entry Period will be entered into the prize draw. The random prize draw will be held at 10:00AM on the next business day after expiry of each post at Level 2, 10 Hickson Road The Rocks, NSW 2000.

16. There are twenty five (25) prizes to be won. The five correct entries randomly drawn for each competition post will each win a prize. Each prize comprises of one double pass to a 2024 Sydney Film Festival movie screening. Each double movie pass provides entry for two people and is valued at $49. Total prize pool of $1,225. The Promoter may draw reserve entries in a prize draw and record them in order to use in the instance an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn, or if a prize is not claimed in accordance with these Competition terms (“Reserve Entries”).

17. A prize winner may win more than one prize from the Competition.

18. The Promoter will announce the winner(s) within the competition post and notify them by commenting on their winning post. Winners will be required to send the Promoter a private message with their contact details so the Promoter can arrange provision of the prize.

PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO PRIZE(S) GENERALLY

19. The total prize pool is valued $1,225 AUD including GST. A prize value is the recommended retail value as provided by the relevant supplier(s). The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in a prize’s value due to exchange rate changes or otherwise.

20. Any additional costs not expressly stated, but which may be incurred in acceptance and use of a prize, are the responsibility of the winner. This includes but is not limited to travel to and from the movie screening, accommodation, food and beverages at movie screening.

21. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, GIO exclude all liability for any loss which is suffered or incurred in connection with the competition. GIO will not be responsible for any technical, communications or other errors in the course of conducting the competition, nor failure of safe delivery of a prize.

22. All of GIO’s decisions in relation to the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

23. GIO and the Promoter completely release Facebook from all liability in relation to the competition, and acknowledge that it is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

24. The winner(s) must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding winning a prize, free of charge, and consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in promotional material in any media at any time without notification or compensation, financial or otherwise.
