Art Gallery of NSW is easily accessible by public transport with St James and Martin Place train stations located a 10 minute walk away. Bus 441 departs from the York Street side of Queen Victoria Building regularly during the week, and the gallery is a five minute walk from Macquarie Street or Hyde Park.

Limited meter parking is available on Art Gallery Road and Mrs Macquaries Road. Domain Car Park offers discounted parking for Art Gallery of NSW entrants with Monday to Friday $6 off casual parking after the first hour. You must get your parking ticket stamped at the information desk, ground level, to receive the discount. For further information contact 1800 679 278.
The main entrance, at the front of the Gallery, is via two short flights of stairs: nine steps outside and two in the vestibule inside. A permanent access ramp provides an alternative to the external stairs. Another ramp is positioned on the inside stairs and a Gallery staff member is available for assistance if required. All areas inside the building are accessible by ramps and two lifts.
Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on lower level 1.
There are 4 free disabled parking spaces: two at the front of the Gallery and two at the rear.
Hearing loops are available in the back two rows of the Domain Theatre.
